Baby Yee

I like to eat, sleep. poop. My daddy’s gonna teach me how to hoop. Mommy’s gonna teach me how to draw, my grandparents are going to hover and go blah, blah, blah. Lil Dragon, that’s me. Brooklyn Abigail Yee. I’m just alittle pint-sized peanut, but I’ll cross you over, and the whole world can see. Drop no look dimes, rain three’s from the arc, I’d rather be on the basketball court, than play tag at the park. In the meantime, just let me get my rest. In a couple months daddy’s going to put me to the test.

I am now 6 pounds, 9 oz. Mommy and daddy are still trying to figure me out, and vice versa. They don’t really understand baby talk. So it’s taking them awhile. Today I get to meet some of the Core NEXT Generation, Jayma, Carter and Isaac! Lia and Brandon already visited me at the hospital with their mommy and daddy, Alvin and Sam. I also get to meet some of my Core uncle and aunties whom I haven’t met yet. I am looking forward to that. My helicopter grand-parents, (Grace’s parents) are away for the weekend, so that’s a sigh of relief. Grandpa worry wart won’t stress mommy out. That dude is a worry wart. When he comes to visit, he’s all up in my grill examining me like he’s some sort of doctor. Give me my space dude!

Hard to believe our little bumblebee will almost be a month old! Brooklyn is gaining weight, slowly but surely. She is quite active Kung fu fighting with her hands and feet. It’s cute when she makes little whimpers. It sounds like a bird! Tomorrow we have another weigh-in, and hopefully she’ll be 6 pounds!

I can’t remember who said it to me but they said, cherish your time with her now … she’s never going to be this *small* again. (and she’s a wee little thing)

We’re pleased to welcome our little peanut, Brooklyn Abigail Yee. Born on April 15th, 2012 at 10:49am. 5 lbs, 10 oz.

We’ve been in the hospital most of the week to get Brooklyn’s blood sugar levels and jaundice treated. Got back home yesterday, back in the hospital today for another follow-up but everything looks good so far. Now we just gotta get going to put some more weight on this little one.

She came a big surpise 10 days early; just as daddy had ordered a beer with the guys from church, and mommy had finally found a link online to watch the new season of Mad Men. Needless to say, beer and Mad Men were not had…
