I wish I had some pics of us playing Burbs, but unfortunately I don’t. We played burby (boxball) whatever you want to call it, to try and recapture the glory days of our youth. It was Ricky (aka Cecil Fielder) and I vs. Eric, and his cousin Cary just recently promoted from Triple A Syracuse. We lost count of the score as we just manhandled Eric’s pitching. Cecil, er, I mean Ricky even hit 2 homers from both sides of the plate!!! Those youths hanging at the school must have been thinking, what are these old asian dudes doing in our hood?

Just finished an abs class at Vic Terrace Good Life. Trying to get myself back into shape as I anticipate having to re-do my physical for firefighting as my certificate expires in Nov. Gonna try and utilize mock interview sessions at Centre for Education and Training at Yonge and St. Clair to work on interview skills.

Preppin away for my interview next week. I borrowed 5 books from the library just so I can be ready for anything. Not sure what to expect as this position is different from that of a firefighter. But I have to be ready for any type of question that may be asked of me. Went to do a “Body Pump” class tonight with my sister. It’s aerobics inspired weight exercise. Pretty good if you want to get lean or lose some weight. C’mon Ricky, come to a class! Tomorrow it’s more studying but 30 minute ab class to start the day off right at 10am!

Sitting at home eating dumplings, no wifey in sight……….Going to dinner with the fam tonight to celebrate pop duke’s retirement. For those of you who don’t know, my pops worked as a letter carrier for Canada Post for 22 years?? I’ll have to check the math, but it’s been a loooooong time. How is it that my pops is retiring from his career, and I haven’t even started mine?? In the words of Kriss Kross, that’s WIGGITY WIGGITY WACK!!

So I had my two tests last week, one for firefighter position and one for dispatch/communications, both with Toronto Fire. I have an interview on Mon. Oct. 3 for the dispatch position. I better step up my interview skills cuz I am 0-2 on interviews for Fire departments! Although dispatch/communications is not my ultimate goal, it is still a step in the right direction, and will get my foot in the door. Wish me luck as I prepare this upcoming week!

I used to work with this clown! Ronald came by the McD’s in Flemingdon Park so I brought the kids over to see him and get a McFlurry too!
