After getting a rebound, Paul Millsap throws a lazy pass to Deron Williams which gets stolen by Melo and flushes right in Millsap’s face. OUCH!!!! AND 1!!!!

Sense of Optimism……

So I was watching the Raps home-opener last night with some friends, and boy was it exciting! They thoroughly out played the Cavs even with Lebron getting a triple double! I was quite happy with the play of Bargs, (28 points), and CB4, 16 boards. I can’t wait to get Reggie Evans back. We need his toughness and rebounding. Pretty much everyone played well, Marco Bellinelli had a monstrous dunk too! Next game is on Friday, 8pm against Memphis. They better beat the Grizz! A.I. is still out, tho Memphis still has some decent players namely Rudy Gay, and O.J. Mayo. I’ll be catching this game at 910!!! Props to D3wu!!

My friend Tim and I went to see Michael Moore’s new movie yesterday, “Capitalism – A Love story”. It was a really interesting movie, about the economic divide in the US, how the gap between rich and poor was widening and the middle class was being phased out. Some of the things I saw in the movie was ridiculous, and made me realize how thankful we are to be living here in Canada. And all of those big companies, everyone from Wal-Mart, to big investor companies like AIG, Bank of America, all play apart in destroying the lives of americans. If you want to see how GREED, MONEY, POWER, all contribute to make these companies work, and profit upon people’s misfortunes, even their DEATHS, than check this movie out.

With the NBA ready to open the 09/10 season next Tues, I have already gotten the itch to get cable again, or buy NBA broadband for internet, $135, even the PS3 so I can play 2K10. But I’m no longer in a pool, and I can think of other things to do besides playing 2K10 all the time. All these thoughts have come into my mind, but I am resisting temptation. As much as I love the game of basketball, I guess I will have to stick to watching internet highlights, the occasional game at a friend’s place, or even watching at the gym. Hey, at least that will FORCE me to go to the gym. NBA, I LOVE THIS GAME!!!

Thanksgiving Walk. Elijah and I prepare to battle! Man vs Machine! Does a bike count as machine?? I raced him like 10 times that day! Tired me out! We completed our long journey to Mississauga! Started from downtown Toronto and walked up the waterfront trail. Getting some practice with the stroller. Who’s that strange looking guy beside me?

More Than a Game Trailer

Great story of how a high school basketball team comes together against all odds try and become National champions. Helps that Lebron is on the team too! But this story is more than just about Lebron. It follows the other 4 members of the “Fab 5″ and how their roles figure into the team’s success.

Having the past 2 months off has really given me alot of time to get back into shape, start my own blog, and refine my culinary skills. I am not a seasoned chef by any means, but I do enjoy dabbling in the culinary arts. Amongst the dishes I have made lately: Shrimp Scampi with Green onions and Orzo, stuffed portobello mushrooms, many different kinds of omelettes. Cooking is a skill that will definitely be beneficial not only in the home, but at the firehall as well. I am improving on this skill so that when I get to the firehall, I’ll be well-prepared and well-liked! Bon Appettite! Oh, and I made the omelette pictured here, but Grace made the veggies…..

Am I BALDING?

The million dollar question is am I balding?? This is something that has been on my mind for quite some time. I took a bird’s eye view picture of my head, and it is apparent that my hair is receding on the sides. It looks like it keeps getting deeper and deeper as I grow older. The thing is I don’t think there is a history of baldness in my family. I guess I will continue to keep it short, the more to expose my conehead. What do you think? Maybe I should put in some inplants like JON from Jon and Kate and I could grow my hair long again……or not.
