The Adventures of Leisure Suit Larry

Xmas this year started off well, Grace and I slept in until 10am, than opened up gifts. We went for dim sum with the family before I headed off to work. The day was filled with various medical, vehicle accidents, false alarms, THAN “THE” call came in at around 6pm…..from the LURGS! I answered the call in my typical fashion, “Toronto Fire…….” and I hear “Jeff?”. I was like uhhh, yeah what’s up? Is your parent’s house on fire? She proceeded to tell me that Grace smelled some burning in the dryer and also saw a flame. Grace lost her cellphone, so there was no way of me getting direct contact with her since we don’t have a landline either, so I had to converse with Amy. I set up the call, and got the trucks rolling to 85 Woodville Ave. I wasn’t worried that the house would get burnt down or that Grace wouldn’t get out although my heart WAS racing alittle. In the end, 3 trucks pulled up, plus 1 police cruiser, and everything was taken care of. There may or may not have been an actual “working”  fire, the ff’s said that it may have been paper burning. Whew! Would have been funny if I showed up to my own house on the trucks! lol. So there you have it, that was our eventful Christmas!

Big Brother Jeru and lil Grace

Went to visit my nephews Edson and Jeffrey yesterday in Richmond Hill. They are 7 and 6 years old and in grades 2 and 1. Do you know of any kids in grade 1 and 2 emailing and goin on msn? Man both of them sent Grace and I email today and added us to msn!
Lil Jeffrey Jr was coloring and drawing with Grace yesterday while Edson and I played Twister and volleyball in the basement. Gotta teach the boys some basketball skills!

Can’t wait to see Avatar in IMAX 3-D on Tues! I don’t know much about the movie, but I’ve seen the trailer and heard that it cost $250 mil to make? Hot dang! Went to the raps game with Jeru today. They played the Hornets and won! We had nice seats courtesy of Mastercard and Big Bros. Thanks! The Raps were 2 points away from 100 points, and had the ball with 24 ticks left but jarret jack just ended up dribbling out the clock. NO PIZZA! Boooooooo! 100 points and we woulda scored a slice of za! 2 more days until I’m back to work. Listening to some Canadian content, K-OS ” I wish I knew Natalie Portman”, and K’naan, “Wavin’ Flag”. Nice tracks….

I am off now for 7 days until next Wed. Have some errands to do, last min Christmas shopping, gotta put on winter tires, catch up with some movies that I rented from Rogers and are due tomorrow. Oh, trying to catch a matinee with the Jeff’s this Fri hopefully. Got up this morning for a 6:15 bodypump class with Soph. At least I get to sleep in until next Wed. Reading club is having a little Christmas party for the kids this Sat. It’s good to see that the kids have improved alot. I need to start finding some memory exercises to work my brain. Have been forgetting alot of things, leaving things behind lately. Gotta keep my mind fresh!

So I worked Mon and Tues nightshift, and now I’m off til next Mon. What to do? Well, Grace and I went x-mas shopping last night at Fairview, we both came out with 1 item each. Success! Or not! I did a bodypump class this morning at 10:30, than went to have lunch with the wifey at her fav place Petite Dejeuner. I rented some movies from Rogers, “Public Enemies”, “Julie and Julia” and “The Cove”. I’m really anticipating watching the “Cove” as the review on the Laminator’s blog said it was good. 3 more days of chillaxin, than I work Mon and Tues, and am off again for 7 days. But I have to work Dec 23-27. Oh well. Guess you gots to do what you gots to do!

On my 3 hr lie down but I can’t sleep cuz my belly is still full of meat! I don’t think it has fully digested the Brazilian steakhouse from last night! Throw in a baseball sized burger for dinner tonight and you can tell that my belly is still trying to break down the meat…..I’m back on the phones at midnight, and going straight til 6 with pee breaks in between…..managed to watch the Leafs beat the Panthers 5-2…..ughhh, feels so uncomfortable and more meat to come with t-bone steaks for dinner tomorrow! They know how to eat well in the Fire service!

I finally decided to do an “MB” and shave it all off! Well I didn’t use a BIC razor, and  I didn’t use a guard on my shaver when I cut it. What do you think??? Wifey didn’t want me to cut it so close cuz of my irregular conehead. Well, it’ll last for maybe a week until it grows back………

Raps are seriously underachieving at 7-12. They brought in a whole arsenal of new weapons but have yet to click. Especially on the defensive end. Reggie Evans has yet to play a game, and nobody wants to rebound or play defense except Chris Bosh. The worst culprits are Jose, Turks and Bargs. Not surprisingly all european players. Euro’s are not known for their defense. Well, I don’t think we can make it anywhere without improving that aspect of the game, and I TRULY think that Bosh will leave after this year. So we better get something decent in return. Cuz he is having a MONSTER year. I won’t be paying for a Raps game for a looooooong time.
